Our Work, God's World: Daily Devotions at Advent
by Rev. Dr. Arthur Boers
With a calming but persistent theme of the Savior who comes to be with us, Arthur Boers gives us timely reassurance of God’s presence in our lives. During the four weeks of Advent, this devotional guide looks at the faithful, responsive lives of Zechariah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary, and John the Baptizer. Pondering the moments where God meets each of these characters in the Christmas drama is a thoughtful and worshipful opening of our hearts to see how God meets us in this season and always.
Each day’s devotional includes a Scripture passage, a reflection, questions to ponder, and a prayer for individual use or sharing with a friend or small group.
These devotionals help us to seek God and God's priorities through our responsibilities--whether jobs or volunteer commitments or school or neighborhood involvements.
